So. Where is the guy that runs this joint? Oh yeah, that would be me. Anyways.. so what happened to September? I swear it was there one second then I blinked and BAM! Gone. Just gone. I've been absent, and phoning it in these past two months, I know, well I started job hunting, and now have started work in a horrible little hell I call The Element by Westin. No, it's a nice job, very relaxing (when your boss isn't being self-contradictory or just plain annoying), but it's left me little time, and I just need to get reorganized. So November is my month, and not just because I'm collecting myself, but because it's a new epoch of project fun. Shall I share? There is Music, Gaming, Writing and possibly even Pixels! it's really great honestly.

So what does November mean? It means NaNoWriMo! (National Novel Writing Month to those of you who don't have a clue what I'm talking about and think I'm having some sort of fit). 30 days and 50,000 words. That means about 1,667 words a day. I've always wanted to participate in this event since about 2004 when I first heard of it. But never had anyone to help keep me on track (I'm that sort of person). But this year I have my darling wife who is joining me (and who will be my opponent in an old fashioned Word War). So yes, 1,667 words will be leaving me daily and I hope that by the end of the month I will have a completed Novel. Now the rules say you can start writing at Midnight of October 31st/November 1st, and while I have tons of story ideas that could write themselves, I've decided to go with one of my lesser developed ideas, in order to make the challenge mean something, and also to avoid me from over researching things I've already started on. I will be posting a journal every week in November to update fellows on my progress and I may abuse one of the many calendars here on dA and make it an ever updating deviation in mys craps.. or not. But yes, I hope that by the end of the month I will have a nice badge of honor on my website, as well as something to submit here (of course I won't submit it at once, I'll dutifully edit the hell out of it and submit it chapter by chapter). So wish me luck!

The other project on my plate is something I like to call ƒÆ. ƒÆ is a new Universal Role-Playing System being developed in a branch of my internal company known as ƒantasia Games, and while not a fully commercial venture, I hope to gain some sort of capital or revenue for it in the form of donations and appreciation. ƒÆ is based of the key points of many Systems, blending them together into a castrophony of pure Role-Playing bliss. The core system is in progress and is in Beta 2, and we only expect there to be 1 more Beta (final decisions on certain mechanics and systems and a clean-up in their explanation) before we begin the official writing and launch of it. While it is a 2 person project, we are gladly looking for flavor writers, artists, play testers, what have you. Feel free to inquire about any position you think may help us get this going faster. Thanks to my involvement in NaNoWriMo, I don't expect the Alpha stage to begin until December/January, but I do hope to get the last kinks worked out in these final months of 2009.

The last thing I am pleased to announce is that I have not been slacking in the music department. The band and I have been spending time in the studio remastering our old pieces and re-recording small parts as needed, and after many long meetings and discussions, we have indeed decided to reunite and write more pieces. So to the few who have heard any of Seven Car Pile-up's work, we will be releasing 3 albums in the near future (2 full length and one single). The first album will be "The Essential Seven Car" and will blend all three of our principal works into a single full length album split into 4 parts for theatrics. Then we will be working on the second full-length and once we decide on the song, we'll be releasing a small Single for it which will include 2 tracks from the album itself and one unreleased track that will only be available on the single. Since I am hosting the music on my Virb Account, we have considered a 2nd Single that had a few Web Exclusive songs, but the idea was shot down when we realized that we aren't charging for the music and we aren't producing real albums so technically all our music is web exclusive. But as with Į, Seven Car will indeed be suffering from neglect in November thanks to NaNoWriMo. Luckily two other members of the band are supporting writers of their own and want to be available to them (to the writer, their significant other is always their best friend, biggest fan, worst critic and personal source of relief). The fourth is taking a trip to Chile, so he will be able to go without fretting about wasting time. As for me, It's two minutes after midnight, and I have a room to clean before I can settle into NaNoWriMo, because after all...
